    hi all,

When does this copy protection pop up? need more info to help you!

But i will guess it wont rip yes? well if it does that you must play the dvd in a software player like POWERDVD XP for 5 mins to unlock the drive!!! then it will rip!

    Thx...

It depends on the movie, sometimes it appears at the beginning and sometimes when it it at 10% of the process

Start again , this time using DVD Shrink to rip/unencrpyt instead...

I still dont understand why DVD Decrypter was used in the preceeding process to Shrink :s

DVD Shrink woul not open the VTS_01_0 dvd navigation file.. Pedro , the reason shrink wont open this up is because its not the file it needs. It needs the IFO file from the movie. If you do not have this file saved also then there is no need to save it to a dvd as it will be a wasted disk. In order for it to play in a standalone player you have to have the corresponding bup anf ifo files. Goodluck

That is quite correct , you will need corresponding Title Set IFO file (2 above main movie VOBs in rip process)

A typical VIDEO_TS folder of a DVD is similar to :

    VIDEO_TS BUP 16,384
    VIDEO_TS IFO 16,384
    VIDEO_TS VOB 43,008
    VTS_01_0 BUP 77,824
    VTS_01_0 IFO 77,824 <-- IFO needed
    VTS_01_0 VOB 1,695,744
    VTS_01_1 VOB 1,073,565,696\
VTS_01_2 VOB 1,048,565,696 \ <-- This is the Main movie
    VTS_01_3 VOB 1,048,565,696 /
    VTS_01_4 VOB 589,365,248 /
    VTS_02_0 BUP 18,432
    VTS_02_0 IFO 18,432
    VTS_02_0 VOB 43,008
    VTS_02_1 VOB 6,014,976
