hi can everyone help me i have a problem iam using dvd shrink 3.2 i back up the dvd everything goes well then when it asks me to put a blank dvd in, i do then nothing happens its stuck in the looking for dvd status do anyone have any ideas on whats happening and iam also using nero 6 to burn.
It sounds like your drive is not seeing the media you are using. I would try a different media brand and see if that fixes your problem.
I got the same problem before. I put different DVD medias and still says "checking disc" all the time. It turned out the DVD burner is bad.
ok yesterday i did a scan check on the drive from nero and it was telling me that certain media it will see or write to i will try diffrent media or i will prolly get my drive checked out its like brand new and i have burned data before
What is the make and model of your burner, what media are you using? Check and make sure the firmware on your burner is up to date.
how do u check to see what firmeware iam using? its a lacie drive but it labeled as a teac drive when u select the destination source
Use the Nero InfoTool and it will say the make model and current firmware of your burner. You can then check it out at this site http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php
ok i updated the firmware for the burner, but i still get the checking media prompt and still nothing happens, the burner reads dvd's that burned already but wont notice the blanks that i put in , one more thing when its ready to burn it asks for a certain type of media dvd+r/rw am i only to use that media??
