There is still a way to use DVD Shrink to burn with ImgBurn. There are a few modifications that need to be made to make it happen. Here is a little guide to explain. Please be sure to read it all the way through. http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=59242 However, it seems that the location has been updated by 7thstinger. If you do have a problem getting the download then feel free to use this option. Here is the original download link: http://rapidshare.com/files/35280436/Shrink_w_ImgBurn.rar
I followed all the directions but I am having a problem using shrink with img burn through the drop down menu. I get a message that reads: DVD SHRINK ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR AND CANNOT CONTINUE. THE SPECIFIC FOLDER IS INVALID. ACCESS IS DENIED. This is a new computer with vista andI cannot figure out what the problem is. I get the same message when I try to back up an iso image without img burner. I know how to use img burner after I save it to the hard drive (which SHRINK does allow me to do) but that involves 2 extra annoying steps. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks Jay
I would try re-installing DVD Shrink. Be sure to only replace the Shrink.exe file with the new one. DON'T remove anything from the DVD Shrink folder. btw you'll need to d/l the latest and greatest of IMGBURN as well and replace it in the DVD Shrink folder. I'm pretty sure the IMGBURN that comes with the "new" DVD Shrink is an OLD version. hth..... good luck ....gm

Hello everyone. I just found this version of DVD Shrink and decided to give it a try. Just a quick question: Is there a way to get ImgBurn to start burning automatically after DVD Shrink opens it? Thanks for the info...
@BobShaft Yes - see the first post in this thread. Pick the ImgBurn option when you click backup in Shrink and you're on your way.
Thanks for replying. ImgBurn opens ok after DVD Shrink has finished making the ISO. It even has the ISO loaded and ready to burn for me. The question I have is whether or not ImgBurn can actually start the burning process on it's own. I've tried it once so far and it worked great but I had to click the Burn (Write?) button to get it to start. I've looked through all the options and didn't see anything that would make ImgBurn start the writing process automatically. There are so many options though, so maybe I'm overlooking something. Not that big of a deal really, but I like to be able to set it and forget it and come back later to a finished DVD. Thanks again.
Yes ImgBurn should start auto burning after Shrink has done it's thing. You downloaded (link from 1st page) and dropped the dvdshrink 3.2.exe file in the dvd shrink folder correct? That's all you really need to do besides picking the option in Shrink to burn w/ ImgBurn.
Ok had a chance to try it again today and it is working properly now. For some reason it didn't do it the first time I tried. And wow! This is way better than using Nero with DVD Shrink. For one, I love the fact that it can automatically delete the ISO when it's finished. Many thanks to whoever is responsible for making this work so well with ImgBurn!
Thanks for sorting that BINKS.... YOu had such a good handle on things I didn't want to mess up your rhythm...
Well....My computer crashed and I had to reinstall, but now the RapidShare link will not work to download the Shrink & Imgburn combo if you check free user. It looks like they are going to make you become a premium user if you want to download the file... I have been trying frequently this morning and here is the response I get. "Unfortunately right now our servers are overloaded and we have no more download slots left for non-members. Of course you can also try again later" My fault for not saving a backup copy of the file I guess....
silly question, will the autoburning work if both dvd shrink and imgburn are portable, or does dvd shrink need to be installed for this to happen? Thanks in advance
