I recently had to a master recovery. I than tried to use dvd fab to decrypt a movie, v for vendetta than i used dvd shrink to shrink the files. well before i did the master recovery i could burn using dvd shrink. now it dosent work. So i tried using nero. I than tried going through nero, by opening file in nero, and adding all the file that had benn shrunk, and it gives me an error than is unable to read the last file that it shrank.

    Hi meshelly
When you say master recovery are we talking reformatting?
When you tried to burn w/ Shrink what happened? (shrink can't burn by itself - uses Nero, DVD Decrypter)
See if you have a Nero log. Look here for the last one:
    If using Nero 6 - program files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory
or Nero 7 is here: program files>Nero>Nero7>Core>NeroHistory.

Just be sure to edit out the serial # - they begin w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.

It sounds like you're getting a read error from the hard drive.

Shrink is not a burning program. It will switch to DVD Decrypter or Nero to burn automatically. Go to Shrink – Edit – Preferences. Select the File I/O tab enable Nero. When you hit the Backup select the target you want [i.e. Nero, Decrypter, ISO or Hard Disk folder. Post a log from Nero if you still have trouble.

Nero is known for having burning issues.
Try the new and very much improved ImgBurn.
    http://www.imgburn.com/
You can set Shrink to automaticly burn with ImgBurn.

Nero doesn't know what make of burner you are using.Nero needs to be updated to a later version 6.

Maybe 8x is too much for those Riteks with that burner. But you would know that before everything blew up.This forum allways advises 4x max.

    here's some suggestions:
Update Nero to this version (the last version of 6 to autoburn w/ Shrink)
    Package 1
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2 (recode & vision)
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
The is an LG drive made for the pc manufacturer. What PC brand do you have?
Your drive fully recognizes the media but keeping the firmware up to date is always good. The PC manufacturer will supply the firmware updates for this drive.
    Try 4x speed.

Try this and let's us know how it goes.
If it fails again post a new log.

Yes Shrink has no burn engine of it's own. It uses Nero's if you have it installed. You never even notice :)
In Shrink you would change the burn speed once you clcik 'backup' under the 'burn settings' tab
    [IMG]

If you are just burning the file from your hard drive w/ Nero - it's usually on the last screen that will give you the option to change the burn speed. Here's a pic (reusing) from Nero Express.

Try burning with another burning program. This will tell if it's a Nero problem or not.

    Ok meshelly
So you ripped w/ dvdfab decrypter than ran thru vobblanker?
Since this file is around 6 gig you'll need to run it thru shrink 1st to put it on a single layer dvd (like dialysis1 said let's rule out Nero)

When you use Shrink - burn with imgburn(free) instead.
You can download it from dialysis1's post above.
Here's a guide on what to do to set it up:
    http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869

let us know how that goes.

From the two logs, I would conclude that Nero Recode is working fine.I would try 'Anydvd' running in the background and DVDdecrypter to rip the disk then check around the Doom9 forum to see if that particular movie has issues.

Nothing wrong with that log, as u can see at the end
now all u have to do is run it thru shrink and then burn with ImgBurn
Uncheck audio and subtitle u dont need to improve pic quality
    [IMG]

select this for better picture quality
    [IMG]

    do this to make ISO
