I have my computer and home theatre that I use to play my DVD's. My notebook only has the 2 speakers, and I have 5.1 for my home system. Do I have to choose to burn the 2 channel and 5.1 channel for it to work on my notebook and home system?

Second question, if I choose DTS 5.1 will it work on my older receiver and notebook? Whatever the difference between the dts and other option with 5.1 is???

    Thanks

5.1 will almost always downgrade to 2 if you don't have 5.1. I don't know why I say "almost" since I've yet to see an instance where it hasn't. So just choose the 5.1.

DTS is completely different from regular audio. You have to have a set up that will play it or you'll get this weird thing where the background noise is louder than the dialogue. DTS-able systems are the higher end systems. A regular TV probably won't be able to play it.
