I'm getting this message (after the analysis was successfully completed) when I try to do a backup: DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue Programming error - exception occurred The parameter is incorrect
You're getting this error from shrink because it encountered copy protection it can't handle. There are several methods to try and get around this. 1) Using DVDdecrypter rip the files to your HDD in ISO read mode, decrypter will create an ISO image that you will open with DVD shrink (goto:file--open disk image). Once shrink opens the image, I suggest you re-athor the DVD to backup just the main movie and 5.1 AC3 eng audio channel. When backing up, have shrink create an iso image file and burn with DVD decrypter. OR 2) Download DVDFab decrypter and use it to rip the video files to your HDD, open the files created by DVDFab using DVD shrink (using the open files tab) and re-athor the DVD to backup just the main movie and 5.1 AC3 eng audio channel. When backing up, have shrink create an iso image file and burn with DVD decrypter or nero. If shrink won't open the files created by DVDFab you'll have to process them thru VobBlanker first. VobBlanker will create a new set of files that it has cleaned (create a folder on your desktop and store the files there), open the files created by vobBlanker using DVDshrink and re-athor the DVD to backup just the main movie and 5.1 AC3 eng audio channel.
