DVD Shrink closes immediately on "Backup" request

    I am new to this forum so ask for your patience.
    I am attempting to shrink "Evening". When I select 'backup', the program copies 1 second of VIDEO_TS.VOB and then the program completely closes. It doesn't give any kind of error message. Can anyone tell me what I need to do? Thanks

    Are you using Shrink by itself, or in cojunction with another ripper? If so, which one?

    Shrink hasn't been updated in a good few years and cannot handle many newer encrytions by it's lonesome.

    Hey doeh, I had that problem, sounds like corruption or conflict of system files.I gave up and reinstalled xp,problem solved.Oh and by the way I now use Dvdfab Prem.No problems whatsoever,Also as time goes on the movies do get harder for dvdshrink as the software hasnt been updated for years.

    Thanks - I think I solved the problem with advice from "gurnard' on a different Thread. I re-authored, chose movie only and problem resolved. Thanks gurnard!!!!!
