At last something that goes towards explaining why dvd rip/burn tools barf out on some fista machines when they update with sp1 while others update and everything remains working. Damn those oem updates from manufacturers.

Next time I see one I'm going to check whet IE version has been installed ;)

    Bingo!!
    Thanks ricoh5006.
Indeed, after uninstalling Windows Internet Explorer 8 beta 2 from my PC DVD Shrink now works as it should.
My bad that I forgot about recently installing this version of IE.
But, who'd a thunk it! DVD Shrink re-author malfunctions because of a new version of Internet Explorer!!
    It never crossed my mind.
Thanks to everyone who took an interest.

Is there or shouldn't there be a way of sorting by most recent installations. When I looked in Control Panel I didn't see the recent
installation of IE because the only date in the sorting options is
"date last used" and I haven't used IE since I installed it.

I'm still using the obsolete Netscape because I can't get new tabs to open for every site I click on in "bookmarks" on Firefox. I tried to get this option in Tools, Options, Tabs. It has "new pages in new tab" but it doesn't have "switch to new tab when opened from bookmarks" like Netscape does.
Should I go to another forum with this problem? If so, can someone direct me to it?

I'm just very careful what i install. For one i don't/won't (ever) install Windows 'updates' (pah! to those). As to browsers (in Windows) i use Opera primarily, sometimes Firefox and i never ever use the horrid Internet Explorer.

Be sure you have the open in new tab ticked and then go to your bookmarks and middle click the one you want. Should open and switch to the new tab.

The problem is that, yes, it opens a new tab but, it opens this new tab replacing the one that was there. I want to click on 5 different bookmarks and have them open 5 in a row, like I used to do in Netscape.
If I open Firefox and click 5 different bookmarks the only one that is there when I'm finished clicking is the last bookmark that I clicked.

Either middle/center click or right click and select open in new tab.
