hi, this question my have been answered, but I do not see it. I wanted to know if I could use dvdshrink and then burn directly to a dvdr without putting the movie on to my hard drive, using my exsiting buring program sonic. Sorry if I am not understanding this correctly please I need some insight. I do not think I have enough space on my hard drive for a whole movie or am i missing some point. thank specialkt
Shrink can't use that software directly. But as you are storing the film on the HDD anyway you can just save to HDD and then copy to disk with your software. Shrink still needs a temp directory to store the image before burning so you can't get away from that part of the process. It won't take much longer to do than with Nero, you just need to make a data DVD, make 2 folders on it Video_TS and Audio_TS and copy vob files etc... into the Video_TS folder, then your done. This last bit presumes that the sonic software does not already have the capability to make video DVDs as I don't have a clue, never used it
Shrink does not burn, it only rips/encodes/compresses. You must have an external program to burn. You can use Sonic to burn but you still have to put it on your hard drive first and then burn and delete the file later. If you want to rip/encode/burn all at once then use a 1click program or AnyDVD along with CloneDVD or Nero Recode.
