None needed, all of this is giving me long overdue smiles, i'm having another bad day yet Rahstyles has given me the energy to fight my own problems for the day. Shame he can't give us the info needed to fix his own problems.

Must just say reading through that archive of ignorance that one thing really stands out... This little encouragement to pirate software.

(hehehehe.. doesn't even know to uninstall nero6 with the clean tool first.. what a nubbins)

And how would that possibly help when the problem is with a dvd player which doesn't like cheap and nasty dvd+r disks?

Good lick woofboy.. endo and co have it covered.. if their advice doesn't work you need to buy a few -r disks and see what happens.. Would these be 16x disks perchance? Lots of standalone players refuse to have anything to do with them regardless of burning settings and speed... the dvd players just can't see the disks. try a couple you have burned on other players and see what happens.. I will put money on 25% playing them fine...
Get some 8x disks and see if that helps Ridata/Ritek are a standard price fair quality disk.. the same sort of price as the maxell/tdk junk anyways... You can always use them for pirated software backups as ably suggested by our friend earlier and for avi's etc..

    Wow.

How anyone has the nerve to hop on here and attempt to bad-mouth good solid advice with poor advice and not enough knowledge and experience to back it up is beyond me.

Varnull attempted to get this thread back on track. None of this is helping the OP...lets keep this kind of thing in it's place please.

Nero 8 does not work with dvd shrink.
    Nero 6,7 worked with shrink.

In order to get shrink to work on vista, you need to be logged on as admininstrator.

You need better media than Maxell (poor quality)
I prefer Taiyo Yuden or Sony.
Burn no more than 1/2 of rated speed

Best option is to use dvd shrink and imgburn together

And we certainly apologize for the confusion.

Just stick with the sagely advice by iluvendo, and you'll be fine.

As do I. Good info was given initially, as well as what iluvendo just offered. Try out what was suggested and feel free to post back with further questions. Hopefully the circus has at least left your town. :)

please dont take me wrong I'm just wondering whats the basis of your Bench. I use maxell, sony, and memorex. I use this cause I pick them up at Staples, office depot, Walmart, Sam's, most drug stores. Most weeks one of the brands are on sell. I burn alot. Its my hobby.

Again why? I understand DvD Shrink. Have you really notice a difference in quilty between Nero, Decryper, And imgburn? Or do you just think imgburn is just easier to work with?

    @rahstyles

The English speaking school you attended obviously has not taught you enough English to converse or write properly. You could well brush up on your English skills before you start posting completely incorrect information here. I don't think you have a post here at AD that has any correct English except the parts where you hit the quote button from someone who does. You also give the Japanese a very bad name. I've been here since 2004 and I don't think I seen anything worse than your posting. You need to find the missing cards from your deck! The sad part is you don't have a clue. Frankly I don't know why you're still about.

I hope your post does not further confuse the OP.

    But i'll play ball.

Maxwell are certainly a bit better than memorex; and most Sony's are fine as well. Memorex typically code out as CMC MAG; bottom of the blank media barrel.

I'm not sure what "quilty" is, but i assume you mean quality. I ditched Nero long ago in favor of Imgburn which is the updated burn engine from Dvd Decrypter. In reference to Nero, the only thing it can offer that is lacking from Imgburn is multisession burning which is neither here nor there.
Imgburn is a freeware burner than can put most pay for burn engines to shame, IMO.

In the future, maybe one should PM these questions so as not to confuse the OP in an already complicated circus of a thread. Just my opinion though.
