DVD Shrink Encoding

    Why does it take so long for DVD Shrink to encode a movie? About 90 minutes. It did not go this slo on my old computer. Help!!

    Hi there,

    What kind of computer do you have ?

    I have a P4 - 3.2 Ghz with 512 Mb of ram.
    (Dell Dimension 8400)

    If I choose Deep Analysis, I can shrink a movie in about 40-45 minutes.

    20 some minutes to Analyze, then an other 20 some minutes shrink.

    I have AnyDVD running in the background.

    Only done 3-4 movies yet, but that's about the time it took me.

    I am running 1.3 ghz and 512 ram. I had this installed on my other hard drive and the speeds were about what you are experiencing. Now it takes well over an hour to encode.
