Has anyone had this problem....then it also says invalid dvd navigation structure...it seems that maybe i can copy like only certain dvds now....where as before could copy all....i don't think it is a protection problem as i sometimes can copy the dvd on my dvd recorder....any suggestions

I'll almost bet that it [bold]is[/bold] the copy protection, if it's a newer movie. Shrink is old, but with AnyDVD running in the background, it will still do [bold]most[/bold] movies. You can get a 21 day free trial here:http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html
Check it out. You'll probably end up buying it, when the trial runs out. It's the best money I've spent in a very long time!
    Good luck!

When shrink scans your files and says there's an error, it's probably copy protection. Whenever I encounter this, I run the files through VobBlanker, then Shrink will be able to work it's magic.

There are no programs filled with spyware from either of the links I posted to my knowledge.
Those are both webpages that are commonly referenced to try and help explain things when pictures are needed instead of words.
If any malware attached, the many people who commonly guide beginners to these pages would be flamed and forever kicked out of AfterDawn methinks.

I agree, but it seems the original problem was using Shrink alone to try and rip the movie. Once it has been ripped and on your computer, then the original poster can go ahead and open Blanker if shrink still cant read it.

No adware, spyware, or virus from Slysoft either.
They can't afford to have any of that in their downloads.........
