i used dvd decrypter to make an iso file of texas chainsaw massacre and then i go to dvd shrink to open the iso. it starts to analayze but then i get an error at 9% saying this...

Dvd Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue

    Failed to read file "c:\Tesxas_chain_saw_massacre\video_ts\vts_01_1.vob"

    Invailed access to memory location

this has never happen to me before until today. i usually have anydvd running in the background but then my trail ran out today and i ran into this problem. i tried to read the guides but they still didn't solve this problem. does any one know how to fix this ?

Are you using the most recent version of Dvd Decrypter? Turn AnyDVD off since you shouldn't need it with DVD Decrypter. Turn off the preview in DVD Shrink. You can also try outputing an iso file from Decrypter rather than files. For me I sometimes get this error with a problematic external hard drive. Do you also get this error with DVD Shrink working on the DVD directly (i.e., not ripped to HD) with AnyDVD running in the background?

Wash500: What movie are you trying to view? For some reason some movies and DVD Shrink do not get along when the preview is turned on. It works for some and not for others which suggests a software conflict. Some of the newer disks also have physical copy protection schemes to thwart copying which can cause problems especially with Shrink. The latter is likely the problem you are encountering.

It is best to rip the image or video files of the disk you want to backup to your HD with the latest version of DVD Decrypter and then use DVD Shrink to open the image file (under the File Menu choose "open disk image..." or the video files (under the Filemenu choose "Open...". If you don't want anything but the main movie then just rip that to your HD with Decrypter. There are guides available for this. Just click the "Guides" tab at the top of the window.
