When ripping a DVD I have gotten the following error message twice,

"DVD Shrink encountered and error and cannot continue.
    Programming error - exception occurred.
    The handle is invalid."

What does this mean. I haven't had anything like this come up before.
    Thanks for looking. :)

I have removed the program and done a fresh re-install. It did the same thing. I also did a defrag as well as cleaned the disc.

BTW - As it's been a while since Shrink was updated, try using DVD Decrypter to do the rip and see if the problem goes away. Decrypter handles more DVDs than Shrink and is less of a strain on your processor.

I am trying to rip Six Feet Under Season 1 disc 3.
I saw on the link that this could be a problem.

Question- Can you rip with DVD Decrypter and burn using Shrink?
What I am getting at is, will Decrypter compress the way Shrink does?

nope - its ripper and a burner!

but rip it with DvdD then load to shrink, and use DvdD to burn it!

Thanks, heh, I just found out the hard way- coaster-city.
I also read on the link that was provided that an older version will do the job. Trying that right now.
Rotory I think what you are trying to tell me, sounds like it might be a little out of my league at this point. But I am still learning. :) Thanks

Going back to DVD-Shrink version 3.1.7 solved it. Nice link to that other site. Thanks GT50!
