My DVD Shrink and IMG Burn was working great one day. Then all of a sudden they both slowed down. What used to take me 10 minutes to encode on Shrink now takes at least 30 minutes and IMG Burn is burning painfully slow. The burn rate right now is 0.7X and I have it set at 8X. Has anyone ever had this problem? If so, what is the cause of it and how do I fix it?

Post a burn log from Imgburn so we can see what's going on.

I know it isn't always the best solution, but I just saved all the files I wanted to keep and reformatted my hard drive. Set everything back to factory standards. Basically it was a last ditch effort

A little overboard methinks, but if it worked and you lost nothing other than the time spent, good deal.

For future reference, a burn log usually helps solve these issues relatively quickly.

    Burn on.
