Im having trouble finding a iso file that works with dvd shrink can anyone help please? thanks merc1.9
It works if i try to download it to a hard file its only when i try to download to a ISO file it says specified folder is invalid. thanks for any help merc1.9
You try to backup the movie to an ISO image on the HDD and it says the destination does not exist? Have you tried simply saving it to the desktop or C:\
@ attar Way i read it member is attempting to use shrink to open the iso @ merc install 7zip it's free then right click on iso locate extract & left clik it,make sure you have enough space as it will extract the folder next to the iso then use shrink on it
The same happened to me last night, and it was a dumb error on my part- I didn't pay close enough attention to the folder path, and I was sending it to an external HD that I had disconnected, that had many of the same folder names, which is why I didn't notice that I was on the wrong HD. Attar may be right- keep it simple: just aim for desktop. PS I sometimes get wanky error messages if the file names don't match perfectly on the 1st and last tabs of the Backup box.
don't know you'll have to ask merc why he/she doesn't use keyboard shortcuts to open disc image, most probably the same reason i don't.
That's not the point. Of course you can open it via File > Open Disc image as well. It's however completely pointless to extract the ISO first as you suggested.
7zip will determine if downloaded iso is corrupted or not & will say so,if i recall shrink will either crash or give some message can't open file & nothing else.
I had the same problem before: Try to open the ISO file with Shrink via: Re-Author > DVD Browser > Back (Folder)...until you find it and Double Click on the file. ...If Shrink do not recognize the file; you just re-run the file using DVD-Fab since the file is maybe coming from a diff. source (format) or get corrupted when was processed by another PC, and this work ok for me! Hope this help.
Open a file via Re-Author is the way to mount a file on, to DVD-Shrink by Double-Clicking ... or to put together diff. files from diff. sources ! >Re-Author >> Local Disc (C >> File Folder or Documents and Settings >> My Documents >> etc.
So what's the difference to CTRL-I > Local Disc (C >> File Folder or Documents and Settings >> My Documents >> etc.?
