I've been using DVD Shrink for years now, quite happy with the program, except when using Nero or Free Dvd Decrypter to burn the discs. I figured out how to get it back to burning with (straight) Dvd Decrypter (after changing computers), using the deep analysis & verify modes. Always does great that way for me, occasionaly catching a burning error, but my discs always come out good. I am not at all interested in using any other program to compress my dvds. Problem I had last night was I ripped & compressed a dvd, burned it with Dvd Decrypter--no problem. I next tried to copy a dvd which I originally compressed & burned using the same programs. A few seconds into encoding, I received an error message saying not enough memory & parameters incorrect. I run Norton internet protection every day & Malwarebytes 1x week. I rebooted the computer, same thing. I have never had this problem before. I tried researching this issue, but either the posts did not address my exact problem or they were to technical for me to understand. I'm not a computer guy & can barely even spell the word. If anyune can help me on this problem it would be most appreciated. But please talk slow--I'm like Meatwad--just dumb as hell.
OK, I think the problem was in the disc I wanted to copy. I was starting to copy a series & the first disc gave me the above stated error. So did the second disc. That made me think I had a problem not in the discs. Wrong--somehow the first 2 discs of the series I was trying to copy, which had already been ripped with DVD Shrink & burned with DVD Decrypter, kept throwing up the same error at the same place. The 3rd disc went through just fine, as did the last 2 discs in the series. WTF? Glad to find out it wasn't a hardware, software or programming error.
