Hi there, I personally don't have a problem with DVD Shrink, but I'm trying to get a friend all set up to start burning. She's got AnyDVD along with DVD Shrink 3.2 and nero. She has successfully encoded a movie (I think it was LOST series) onto her hard drive. However, when she tried burning with nero it wouldn't work. I see in her folder where shrink put the files that she has some mpeg files in with her .VOB, BUP, and IFO files. Anyone know why this could have happened?
tanyaj77, The mpeg files had to come from the source files she used as Shrink does not mess w/ mpeg files per say. Did she rip the files to the HD from a DVD or was it a D/L off the internet? If it was off the internet then all of the files were not converted properly. If it is from a DVD Disk is it the original or a copy of the original?
Thanks for the reply, It was an original DVD that she ripped onto her hard drive using DVD Shrink. Isn't that weird?
tanyaj77 , You get the disk and try it as I have never seen that happen although it is possible if it is a bad mastering job
Thanks Mike, I will get her disk and try it for myself and see what happens. Thanks for your help, and I will let you know how it works for me.
I was under the impression that Shrink only converts to .ISO files. She didn't use shrink to rip this disc if she is getting VOB BUP and IFO files in a folder. Sounds like she ripped this disc using the Anydvd ripper.
SLaTheR , When you tick the box enable burning w/ Nero and you use Shrink to rip an Old Movie It goes to Vob.
