I have been using shrink on this computer with windows 7 for a year now and suddenly on trying to open the program I was getting an error message that said the program had stopped working and it would not open. I deleted, re-downloaded, and re-installed. Now no error message but the program will not open at all. I found the answer in a post by "lollerson" that worked. Thank you for the post. -click START, -Right Click COMPUTER, -select Properties, go to Advanced System Settings, -then go to Performance... click on Settings, -and then to: Data Execution Prevention (DEP), -Select: Turn on dep for all programs except those I select, -click on the Add... button.. browse to the DVD shrink .exe file. -finally: restart if told to, then it should work.
I've been using the version from VideoHelp that's modified to use ImgBurn (if installed). It's been working ok in W7 for me. http://download3.videohelp.com/DVDShrink32_w_ImgBurn.rar
I have never used ImgBurn. I actually use the burner built into win 7. It works very well for me. Thank you though.
