I have no problems on a AMD900 / 256k SD-Ram / 120Gb HDD... You will probably notice time difference (ie; taking longer than other ppl) is when you come to use a compression agent. As Pete quite rightly said 'Have at it , I'd say' I've not had any problems w/ Nero conflicting with ANY thing myself , other writing software I have had or still do...RecordNow/IMGtool/DVD Decrypter/TMPGEnc DVD Author/DVD Architect etc etc !!: )-~ As to Roxio , I have never tried it ... but have read reports for years on how utterly crap it is ;]
As I stated in a previous post, I have a PENTIUM III - 500MHZ with 256Megs of memory and a 120GB harddrive. I have had absolutely no problems with backing up DVDs. I have even run two instances of DVDSHRINK at the same time with no problem at all.
One thing that slows the process is the drive has gone into PIO mode. Go to 1. My Computer 2. Control Panel 3. System 4. Hardware 5. Device Manager 6. IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers 7. Open the installed IDE channels (Primary and Secondary) 8. Click on Advanced settings 9. You will see the transfer mode. If any are PIO you need to un-install the channel (right click and choose uninstall) and re-boot. Windows will reinstall the device and return it to DMA mode. 10. Be careful when using this procedure because if you have an older hard drive or storage device that does not support DMA you could corrupt your data. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;817472 © Ni4ni

If you have "Rox**" installed on your system here are the steps 1. Format your computer 2. Cancel your internet connection 3. Die
