Quick 1 fellas, just wondering if you need to shrink, than encrypt, than burn. I have read help me files from www.dvdplusvideo.com but they have seperate help files. I was just wondering what the encrypter does, and do you need it? Or can you just go shrink, burn w/ nero? any help is greatful

Shrink then burn the iso with DVD Decrypter is a typical set up. Both Shrink and DVD Decrypter can break CSS decryption found on commercial DVDs so there is no need to run them both for the same reason.
Decrypter can burn though so you can use it for that....Once the movie is Shrunk to fit.

Because neither of these programs are updated anymore they cannot handle the newer forms of copy protection found on some movies. You can use AnyDVD or DVDFabDecrypter to help you get past that. There are more ways as well.

There are generally three steps to backing up a DVD.

    1. Rip to HDD...using a decrypter such as DVDFab Decrypter, RipIt4Me or AnyDVD running behind DVD Shrink.
    2. Encode...encode/compress using DVD Shrink or Nero Recode if the file is over 4.4 gigs in size. This compresses that data enough to fit onto a single SL DVD.
    3. Burn...use Imgburn to burn your ISO or VIDEO_TS folder. Nero can also be used for burning your VIDEO_TS folder.
