I have a problem when I hit back up. I created a target folder in my documents to save the file to but when I hit back up I get an error that reads "Failed to read from file" and the reason says "Unknown". Am I doing the target folder part right or what am I doing wrong? lordsage@earthlink.net

Remove your email address as it is against forum rules.

What version of DVD Shrink are you using?

This may sound odd but I have the same standalone. It would not play what I call shorts. That is a movie or re author that doesn't equal cloe to 4.7 gig. My solution for this on the DVD-R only, (This doesn't work on DVD+R)is to very carefully take a black permanent marker and go around the outside edge of the "UNBURNED" area of the DVD, being very careful NOT TO GO INTO THE DATA!!! I then put the DVD in and it does play!It is a little slow to get the menu but try it __X_X_X_X_X_[small]RC[/small]

Do yopu use this to go around the outer edges of the DVDR? If so, that will have no efect on the menu and/or the data on the disc up until that point. You will find that by buying better quality media, you will not encounter the same problems.

    Hi all. :)

lordsage, could you describe the entire procedure you're following, from "Open Disk" or "Open Files" to "Backup!"?

P.S: you can use the link in my signature to check some DVD Shrink user-friendly guides. ;)_X_X_X_X_X_[small]~ ddlooping~ [IMG]
