Hi,just recently I got a laptop(INSPIRON 6000)and am looking for a simple software/download for shrinking downloaded movies etc.have tried dvdshrink,but won't work on my system.
hi bryssa. just to let you know, these forums are only for dealing with issues regarding dvds that have been purchased and are the property of the writer. it is illegal to download commercial dvds and these forums must abide by the current legal status and avoid assisting in "piracy". that said, perhaps you haven't downloaded commercial dvds, but some other kind of noncommercial video? perhaps you just want to know how to convert avi format to be playable on a dvd. use the search, and/or look in the guides and you'll find help for that. guides page http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ a couple of convert avi to dvd guides http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/avi_to_dvd_avi2dvd.cfm shrink will work if you have the right tools (often needed, e.g. a decrypter (dvdfab, etc.) and something to fix structural problems such as vobblanker or fixvts) to process the material prior to using shrink. again, use the search and you should find plenty of material to help you be successful.
