Hello Everbody im going through a severe problem and its driving me nuts, I have wasted a lot of dvds and still couldnt sort out my problem.
I have a samsung cd burner, and im using PIODATA dvdr. I downloaded some movies from the internet and its in AVI format, I converted them through DvdSanta and as well as WinAvi. I tried burning it to the slowest speed, and never touched my pc while encoding.
Whenever Im trying to play any dvd in my player, the movie FREEZES, or SKIPS, and then I cannot even next or forward. I tried to play in my Playstation2 and same problems occurs. Please try to help me and it would be greatly appreciated.

Well to Me it sounds Like your Problem is you are useing Crappy Media cuz that is the exact Problem you get when your Media is Bad....

Do the DVD"s Play Fine on your PC??? If they do then Bad media is Definately your problem....

I have never heard of "PIOData DVD-R" which makes me think the Brand is pretty bad...Try Burning to Some "Ritek" or "Fugi" DVD Disks at Low speed and then play them in your DVD player and if you have Better Playback then you know what your problem is....

    Good Luck

Did you try changing your media and testing it again yet as minion suggested?

If so, are you still having problems. If you are using better media and still having the same issues, first I ask - w

what dvd player are you trying to re-play them in?

Is it your samsung comp player, or a stand alone player hooked up to the tv?

Do you have any other players to test the same disks on?

Are you putting any adhesive labels on your disks?

Even though you "are not touching your computer" during the process, are you SURE there are not a bunch of junk programs running in the background from your original startup? (check your msconfig)

Hello everybody thanx for the much needed reply.
Well I havent tried any other media, I did tried ordering RITEK dvdr from meritline but those people are asking me 30 dollars, U.S. for delivery itself just to ship to Canada. Thats why im looking for some more places to buy those ritek cds, if you come to know any other place where I can buy them or a good brand like Ridata somewhere in canada I will appreciate it.
Back to the topic im having a DvD player its not that expensive its called NOVA. But I even tried it on my ps2 and movies are also skipping and freezing there.
Regarding the softwares on the taskbar, well I dont have much except my sound bar and display icon.
Well im looking forward for some more replies from you guys.
    Thanx again.
