For some reason some of my dvds, the sound is off and does not match the movie. Is this a codec problem or a hardware problem. Thanks in advance.

    I`ve have this problem too.
Sometimes maybe a "bad" or incomplete source file didn`t get any better when converted, or maybe .....
I`d try some DVD repair programms if I couln`t replace it/them (lots of good advice here from well informed members on the forum), and if that doesn`t work, replace the source.
Hope you find a solution ,if you do let me know.

I use nero vison express and currently using memorex dvd+r 16x,but i have had this problem on other disc as well, and it does not do it all the time, I'll even try and slow the burn speed down, with minor results.

try better blank media memorex is some of the worst media on the market(CMC mag) use Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim and try burning at 4x on a clean machine wihout other programs running in the background. and make sure your firmware is up to date on your drive
