I have copied some movies to DVD using nero vision but they all freeze after 53 mins on my home DVD player, they are of in my PC. Appart from using Nero Vision what am i doing wrong?
Sure it's not your dvd player, I've had 2 players that have done the same problem, both expensive players. pioneer & panasonic. I had the pioneer fixed, but it did it again soon after. Now I just buy cheapy models that seem to work great.Walmart sells Diamond vision cheapy players, that has played every thing I have ever put into it. There is now one that plays Div X as well. Hope this helps.
Nero is not that great DVD shrink works better have DVD shrink scan the DVD if it gives no errors, remake the DVD with it, it might work but there are n really coherent DVD error checking program.
If you are refering to the quality obtained by Nero Recode vs. DVDShrink you are mistaken. Recode is an enhanced version of DVDShrink as Mr. Shrink has moved on from DVDShrink to Nero.
MysticE I still find DVD shrink small and easy to use Nero might have better quality but it can be tricky to handle. Not everyone is going to have a copy of the newest nero 7 laying around either. thus why DVD shrink is a helpfull tool. If you have Nero 7 upto date you might not need it but then again nero can be fickle sometimes.
I'm a DVDShrink fan, seeing as I'm a 'Movie Only' type it suits me well. I also like it's ability to 'Set default streams' both audio and subtiltle. With English subtitled movies I prefer having the movie start with the subs already on.
