i authorized a dvd with moviefactory 4 both times it starts to stop for a few seconds towards the end of the movie then after a few seconds it totaly stops freezes..

the second time i put the authorizing program and burned it on the slowest speed that didnt work...

the mpeg2 file runs fine on my computer.

You can try playing the DVD with IFOEdit. Open the first ifo file and then select DVD play. If it is fine there, then your problem is with media. You will need to get better media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Another thing is too not use the full capacity of the disc. Author so you use about 4.6 GB (4,600,000,000 Bytes) or less.

This is the first time I have heard of an error like this. It is possible that IFOedit uses files from your software DVD player. Maybe there is something wrong there?

Maybe you authored a non compliant mpeg? I am not familiar with moviefactory, so I cannot suggest any settings there.

You can try recompiling the movie, or if you still have the files on your hard drive, load your video_ts.ifo in ifoedit. then try "get vts sectors". This sometimes fixes things. After that try DVD Play.

If it plays succesfully you can then try to burn it. However, I would suggest playing the entire movie in IFOEdit before burning.
