dvd subtitles how to ?

    hi i want to know how i can put other subtutles to my back up movies for example i have a spanish movie and i would like to back it up and edit the movie adding the new subtitle !!
    can it be done and what software do i need

    i have a movie stored in vob files, i have also got 2 srt files with the subtitles in them, but wen i try to back up the files to disc the subtitles do not appear, is there any software i can use to get the subtitles to work with the vob files.
