Hi all, I am trying to convert some dvd's to avi files(700mb seems the norm) so i can store them in a folder that i can access via my xbox 360, I searched various forums and AutoGk seems to be the program to use. I start the process using DVD Shrink to rip just the movie file then use AutoGK to convert the vobs to avi, all seems well until the start of the second pass when i get the error message from virtual dub saying somthing along the lines of "fast write stream could not open: the file is in use by another program" This is driving me mad, any help would be gratefully accepted
See if turning off the anti-virus program helps and using a small clip to test keeps the blood pressure down.
i use a program called winavi. it works great and doesn't take long either. it converts from dvd to avi so you don't have to rip the movie onto your computer.
