My apologies in advance if I've posted in the wrong forum - I'm new to DVD ripping.

I'd like to rip a DVD to AVI format, but when I use programs like DVD Decrypter or DVD to AVI there are always several different IFO files on the source DVD, and DVD to AVI will never read the VIDEO_TS IFO. It seems that they are broken down into different pieces/chapters? Is there a way to get the whole disc into one AVI file, instead of having separate AVIs?

Hope this makes sense, I'd appreciate any help offered.

    AutoGordianKnot.
    FairUseWizard.
AFAIK, there's nothing around that will preserve menu structure, because the menu's don't work in an avi anyhow.

Thanks for your response. Is there any format that I can convert a DVD to, that will retain menu functionality?

    Nope.
You can reauthor into (S)VCD with VCDEasy, but nothing will keep the DVD menu structure.
