Hi, I'm new to this. I'm currently ripping my DVDs with DVD shrink (using the re author mode) and then converting my DVDs into AVI's using winAVI. But can anyone recommend an alternative method? I'm looking for a quicker conversion method then my current one. Is there anything quicker then winAVI when converting a DVD to a digital video file? In terms of output; * File format not important as long as its playable on the PS3 * Quality 80% or above of that of a DVD quality * File size not important (but a 2 hours film below say 1.5gb preferred) * Audio, not important, MP3 128kpbs quality or equivalent would be fine Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Once the video_ts folder is on the harddrive, you can use something like AutoGK to create the avi. (xvid) If you you want H264, give Handbrake a try. It gives you the choice of MKV or MP4 containers.
