First you must clarify in which type are your files stored (vob, mpeg1, mpeg2, etc).
Second you must examine the audio format encoding which has been used for theese files(44.1, 48, etc).
Third try to find out the video format (pal, ntsc, etc) and the screen size(width and lines).

ok im in vob format and i want to get to something that is a lot smaller so i can store my movies on my small 60 GB hard drive. i dont plan to go back to dvd r format or (vob). so is there a free program that will do this for me or do i do it manually; and how. so is there someone who can explain this to me; and explain what all thies differnt formates are, and what they do. any and all help would be greatly apriciated. thx aeil
