DVD to harddrive

    Im sure this is in here somewhere, but there are a lot of threads and I skimmed and read a few and didnt sem to find the answer I was looking for. I just want to backup some of my favortie dvds to my hardrive so I can watch them in my bedroom on my computer monitor. can anyone tell me the software I need to just make a DVDrip on my hard drive, AVI format or better if possible?? thank you

    There are many programs to do this !! Converting DVD to AVI -- the one that i prefer is available here :-

    I have dvd-to-avi, rarely use it .. but is very simple to use. I think the quality is great for an avi file.
