I want to set up a media system by hooking up a computer to my 60 inch HDTV and I've been converting DVD's to Xvid with 1 Click Dvd to Divx. The standard res is 352 by 2something. The standard volume is 3. Was wondering if using gorden or another method gives you crucial options to get optimal output results. Was wondering what res would be best for a s-video output to TV, and also is Xvid as good as any other mpeg4 format. Wanna get settings straight before mass production. Any tips would help. the 1 Click takes over 1 hour on 2.53 p4 ghz. Would Appreciate tips, Thank you

The settings are set for 352x288 to be more specific. Also, it's 16:9, so should I set the pixel aspect ratio to 16:9PAL? Best quality picture is most important. Besides basic settings, can Xvid have chapters and such. To what extent can you make an avi like the dvd with menus etc. I'm quite new and just diving into avi.

I've been writing xvids at 720x480 because that's what the dvd's are at. Wanted to know if I should put the aspect and picture ratio to 16:9 or leave at 4:3. What will it affect. Also it says dvd is at 30 FPS, should I set rip at 25, 30 or another speed. What's the difference? Also, does limiting size to 700 or 800 MB change quality alot or little. Please any tips would help. Thank You
