Hello All, I am just wondering if this is possible to have Xvid file with all chapter/scenes information in there, so that when I am watching this Xvid file on compatible stand-alone player, I can skip to scene/chapter of my interest quickly. If yes, please direct to the guide.
You can't have chapters with a raw XviD file, not that a standalone would play a raw file, plus it wouldn't have audio. Generally an avi container is used. avi doesn't support chapters. The DivX media format (an extension of avi) does support chapters, but I don't think most current standalones handle them (file will still play ok, just no chapters). Some players support mp4 files which allow for chapters. Strong possibility that your player neither supports mp4 or .divx chapters. No reason why you can't create an mp4 or .divx containing XviD with chapters though.
