I own a very large DVD collection (over 300 to be exact ;)) i travel a lot and would like to rip my dvd's on my xp machine save them as XviD and burn them back to a DVD-R or RW so i can fit 2-3 movies to a DVD instead of one, and keep my originals safe from the means of travel. I love DVD Shrink, very very easy to use and rips a one to one copy of my DVD's or fits them to a 4.5GB DVD, but i would like multiple DVD's on one DVD if i can and i've seen the quality of XviD it is great. Now that i have them on my computer, whats the most simple and easy way to take those VOB files and make them one XviD file with high quality audio? any takers on this one...

I'm not sure if Im undersyanding you right so I'll give ya two answers:

    1. If you have a bunch of VOBs relating to one movie and you want to 'convert' it to XviD and then burn as a DataDVD then you just need to reencode them..... Afterdawn's got a guide somehwere and you can grab mine from http://www.angelfire.com/droid/praetorx/files/DVDxGuide.pdf

    2. If you already have a bunch of XviD movies and want to 'combine' them into one massive 4.7GB file then
    - Open the first movie in VirtualDub
    - Video --> Direct Stream Processing
    - File --> Append AVI Segment --> Select the next movie (repeat as needed)
    - File --> Save As AVI --> Give it a name
    - Sit and wait
    - Burn away :)
