I posting cause I want some get a answers on this question. [bold]DO[/bold] DVD have a faster tranfer rate then CD because: -The laser lens is smaller -DVD: 780 nanometers -CD: 640 nanometers The Pits and lands are smaller -DVD: -740 nanometers separate one track from the next -elongated bumps that make up the track are each 320 nanometers wide. -a minimum of 400 nanometers long and 120 nanometers high, the demenstions of a "bumps" Do all these account for the faster data transfer rate for the DVD player compared to the CD player. If not then what elese am I missing.
