Hi, I build a HTPC with HD capability and a Sony FullHD TV, but when playing a regular DVD the image quality is not satisfactory, so my question is how to upscale the 576p (PAL) to 1080p with some smart algorithms to improve the image quality. I am using Windows Media Center in Vista(32b) and ffdshow for codecs, is there a method to use this combination and add an intelligent algorith (DScaler or something??) to upscale the image? Can an algorith like this also be used for upscaling the TV image (TV-card is a Terractec 2400i DT) Thank you very much for your help!!
