I have Nero 6.6.0.18 and I have two NEC ND 3550A optical recordable drives that I upgraded the firmware to 1.06 but the problem is that I have been burning backup copies all night and all 25 of them burned successfully but now I am getting a DVD-Video relocation error no matter what I do. So now I cant seem to burn files. What is the problem.
Hi novicebb Are you burning files from the hard drive or from the original disc? Which movie(s) is giving you this error? Also if you've done 25 straight thru if you haven't you should reboot your pc.
From my harddrive is where I am burning files from. Also I actually burned maybe 40 back up copies and I only have about 10 more to go. I have restarted computer about 4 times and still the same problem. I even bypassed the error and burned it and it did play in my dvd player but I don't want to have a problem with future copies.
When you ripped the movies there may be a problem with one of the files. Is it ust certain ones that give you this error or is it all of them now? What did you use to rip to your hard drive? Which app in Nero are you using to burn? Like burning rom, express, recode etc.
@ novicebb Don't re-format your hard drive. There are other solutions to your problems. Re-formatting your drive is what people tend to think will solve the problem. Now you told binkie7 that you restarted the computer several times. Now I would like to know if you did a soft boot or a hard boot. Also I would like to know if your temp file that you are using needs to be dumped. There are many things to look at. I doubt that it is your machine. Maybe post a burn log for binkie7 & myself to look at. Thanks
Well I defragged my harddrive thinking that may help but it really didn't. Will post after later on today.
Heres the location of Nero history logs, Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt post one so we can take a look.
