I am new to Nero and here is what I am trying to do: 1. Create a photo slide show with Adobe and use Adobe to create DVD files on hard drive; 2. Use Nero DVD video to import those DVD files; 3. Add a folder on the same DVD to save backup copies of all the pictures I used to create this slide show; 4. Burn the DVD. I just found Nero 8 doesn't allow me to do #3. The DVD video doesn't have an "ADD" function on it. Why? I used to use "Copy-to-DVD", a much smaller software which allows me to do this. Of course, the regular DVD player won't see this picture folder and only play the DVD part (Video_TS something). Anybody knows how to do this? I just hate to waste all the space on a slide show DVD that usually last no more than 30 min.
I'm not sure i understand your question. But if it is what i think you are trying to do, If your slide show is already made and saved to hard drive, just open nero express, not vision, and add your slideshow and folders , and burn as data. Your player will play the slide show.
I tried similar way using Nero DVD data and found none of my DVD players can play it. I think the problem is Nero doesn't allow you to change file/folder orders on the DVD and DVD players have to access certain files at certain locations on the DVD, VIDEO_TS has to be on top, for example. I will keep trying. Thanks!
Just another idea, don't know if this will work or not. But try burning data dvd with nero express ,slideshow first on multi sesion then burn folder after and finalize see if that will work.
