Hello I've a DVD-R disk with many M2TS files on it from a Panasonic hd-camcorder (AVCHD). In a Windows Vista computer I can see the m2ts-files and play them with VLC. In a Windows-XP-SP3 computer I cannot see anything. The computer cannot recognize the disk. Why? What must I do so that the XP-computer can see/play the m2ts-files? Thank you.
What player you are using when playing m2ts files? I recommend you install a software that support m2ts files. Maybe when you play it on Vista the version of the media player supports m2ts files and not on windows xp. You can install POWERDVD, it somewhat support or really supported m2ts files
I use VLC, because VLC "knows" M2TS. I do have some M2TS files on the harddisk of my XP computer. VLC plays the M2TS files in XP... as long as the files are on the harddisk. The problem is XP cannot "read" the DVD-R ... because of unknown-format.
