DVD with ore than 4.7gb

    I keep hearing about these single sided dvd's that can hold more than 4.7gb of data but I can't find them anywhere...do they really exist?

    Nope, regular, standardized writable DVD-R's (DVD+RWs, DVD+Rs, etc) can only hold 4.7GB.

    Not true, you can buy double sided dvd-r media for $5 each. It holds 4.7gig on each side. You can get that at www.cd-recordable.com. DrD, would you email me at *email addy removed after 4-5 years.. =) by Jannejt*, I have some questions I'd like to ask you. Thanks.

    Flippers are different obviously -- the thing what I meant was that dual-layer (9GB a side) writable DVDs don't exist, so you either have to get rid of some data, use two DVD-Rs or use flippers.
