dvd wont play after burning

    this just started out of the blue,everything was fine now dvd's get (disc error) when inserted in a player. if i copy a dvd with dvdfab or convert and burn one with convertxtodvd,they all do the same thing. have always used verbatim dvd-r. is there a setting that has changed of something?

    Do they play on the PC.
    Does Explorer see the files on the disk.

    If it plays ok on the PC, it would seem it burned ok.
    Can you take a previously burned disk that played in the standalone and see if it still plays.

    yes, disks that i burned a few weeks or days ago still play. just the recent ones wont play in stand alone.

    All I can suggest is to burn the output folder from the authoring program with ImgBurn to see if it makes a difference.
