Hi. I am having tons of problems. I made a video of my son's first birthday with Pinnacle Studio 9 but have not been able to burn it onto a DVD without something going wrong. When I burn it through Pinnacle the DVD skips and freezes in the DVD player (I've tried it on 5 different ones). If I back it up really slow I can see all the frames are there....but for some reason they are being skipped. However, it will play fine on my computer through Power DVD. I've changed all sorts of settings in Pinnacle but nothing has worked. After ruining about 10 DVD's I decided to try burning it through a different program. I converted the file to an ISO through Folder2iso and then burned it using decrypter. Now it won't play on my DVD player at all but will play on my computer. HELP ME!! Should I try using different software or settings?
It sounds more like a media issue. Using cheap media and/or burning too fast will certainly have some kind of pixelation and/or skipping... Try buying some brand name blanks that are known to be good. Verbatim, Sony, Fuji (made in Japan, not Taiwan). Avoid Memorex, manufacture codes: CMC-MAGs, and other unknown blanks (Nexxtech). You can take a gander in this forum and search to see which brands suck and which ones work well. http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/47 Also, when burning your project, try to burn 4x or below, if possible.
