DVD Writer light keeps flashing and won't open

    Hello, I searched around and nobody seems to have the exact same problem I have. My NEC DVD-RW light keeps flashing and I won't open the DVD tray. Not after restarting the PC, It still won't open the tray and the light keeps flashing, any ideas anybody?

    You might have to open up the drive and look at where the 2 pins on the laser tray hook in. One side might be up higher than the other causing the gear to bind and not allowing it to open. Chris
