Is there a DVD program / software that will allow a larger than 4.7Gig file size onto a DVD? I am trying to write a movie to DVD+R using Sonic, My DVD and my movie file is 4.086 Gigs and that should fit onto a DVD but when I bring the movie into Sonic My DVD the file becomes 6.520 Gigs. In size and it will not fit onto my media. What can I do so that it will fit and play on a home DVD player?
The filesize increase could be due to the use of PCM audio (uncompressed) by MyDVD. Not sure if MyDVD supports ac3, but authoring programs like DVDit PE certainly do.
