When trying to copy a DVD, I get the following message: Write Operation not successful. The recorder reported a buffer empty error: Writing stopped. the data transfer rate was not fast enough. Drive error code=0205210h. Buffer underun during writing. I am usind a Dell with Windows XP home ver. 2002, Pent 4 CPU 1.60 Ghz, 512 RAM, two HD (120 and 40), and have used it to burn digital and VHS video to DVD without too many problems. Can anyone help me to correct this problem. I know a little about computers and can follow directions but please be detailed as best you can. I have tried to e-mail DVD X Copy tech support with no response. Thank you in advance.
There are better burning software available than whatever it is that DVD X Copy uses. Try Nero Burning Rom or perhaps RecordNow Max. Have you tried the specific forum of DVDxCopy set up by Afterdawn http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/ ??
I perfer not to use dvdxcopy. Puts on anoying startup screen and does not remove copy protection. Also you can't use it to copy your dvdxcopy disc. I perfer to use dvd decrypter to rip it. (easy if only 1 layer, just select iso read then write) if 2 layers you can just shrink it with either IC or dvd2one. Or just split your dvd to 2 dvd-r with dvdtoolbox (www.dvdtoolbox.de)
