Last night I tried to burn a dvd, but dvd x copy xpress froze up during the read. DVD X copy does the same thing. After uninstalling & reinstalling a half dozen times, I was able to get the read to complete in xpress, and it burned a backup, but the back-up is unplayable in every dvd drive I own. This is strange because for 6 months it was working without a problem (I never received any errors) and now all of a sudden I cannot get it to back-up one dvd. Any thoughts? I'm using an external Plextor 8X DVD RW with Memorex 4X dvd+r. I've had no trouble with the first 25 in the spindle and DVD X copy gold version 1.52 Any thoughts?
Have you added any new software? And why are you using XCopy Gold v1.52? The newest version of XCopy Gold is v3.0.4 I would first try upgrading to v3.0.4 http://www.nycsoftware.com/dvdxcopy/support/
