http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/ The problem is copy protection. You'll probably need a program called anydvd or dvd43. They run in the background and strip off any encryption. If X Copy lets you browse for DVD files already on your hard drive you could also use DVD Decrypter to rip it.
i thought sony was putting a new encryption on there dvds? which one will work better with my version of platinum, anydvd or dvd43?? can they compensate for the new encrypton??
PPD Sony did put a new copy protection (arccos)on most of their releases. It started with Resident Evil 2 in December 2004. So far that's the newest one out. I agree with car.mike go with AnyDVD. AnyDVD can definitley handle any copy protection out there now.
(binkie7) thank you. so how exactly does anydvd work? it will decrypt the movie before my dvd xcopy platinum compresses and burns it??
PPD, AnyDVD works in the background and it will decrypt it before Plat. does it's thing. You should have no problems burning if you use AnyDVD. Try the trial version first and if you like it buy it. I think it is a 21 day trial
