Hey everyone, I have a problem with hopefully a simple solution.....I am using dvdxcopy platinum edition to burn my original dvd's. I tried to burn LOTR extended edition but it always locks halfway through the reading with the xpress part of the platinum edition.
But the weird thing is that when I put the dvd in my normal dvd rom drive....Xpress reads it just fine and finishes. My question is can I burn the movie this way....by putting the original in the dvd-rom drive, letting Xpress read it then when it asks for a blank, just insert my dvd-r disk into the dvd burner. Will that burn just fine?
    I appreciate any answers/solutions

Among the many hundreds of DVD backups I've made the only DVD title I have been thus far unsuccessful with is Smallville disk one. I cannot get it to backup at all with DVDXCopy Plat 3.2.1. and
With DVDXCopy 1.5.2 I can backup ok, but I don't get ALL the episodes.
Has anyone tried this DVD Shrink software and will it work instead? I can't even install DVD Shrink, launching the .exe says it's not a valid file...or other. I'd much rather use the 321 Studio software, but nothing works and I've followed the tips on what programs cause the application from working well.

    try the xcopy forum:http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/

I use shrink all the time. I think it is great and I don't use my xcopy at all. I am not sure why you can't install it.
